Two Asian residents were arrested in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh for reckless and irresponsible driving after a video showing dangerous behavior circulated on social media.
According to the Ministry of Interior, the incident was part of a larger effort to combat reckless driving and protect road users. Security teams monitored a video that showed several individuals driving luxury vehicles dangerously in the Jleeb area, putting their own lives and the lives of others at risk.
Following the video, the Farwaniya Security Directorate, represented by the Jleeb area command, immediately moved to the location near a private school and launched an investigation. Authorities found that the gathering was linked to a celebration marking the end of the first academic semester.
Vehicle numbers were recorded, drivers were identified, and investigations revealed that the cars involved were rented. All vehicles and individuals involved were seized, and legal action was taken. The suspects were referred to the competent authorities for further procedures.
The Ministry of Interior confirmed that it will not tolerate any actions that threaten public safety. It also stressed that security services will continue monitoring social media for traffic violations and will take strict legal action against offenders without any leniency, to protect lives, property, and uphold the rule of law.
