Kuwait City: The Ministry of Commerce has closed down an illegal warehouse in the Shuwaikh Industrial Area that was involved in storing and refurbishing used tires for resale.

According to officials, the Capital Monitoring Inspection Team conducted a field inspection campaign targeting several garages in the area. During the operation, inspectors discovered a warehouse where used tires were being cleaned and prepared for resale to consumers, in violation of regulations.

Authorities seized a total of 1,170 non-compliant tires and immediately shut down the facility.

The Ministry confirmed that legal action has been taken against the violators, in accordance with the country’s applicable laws and regulations.

Officials reiterated their commitment to protecting consumer safety and ensuring that markets comply with quality standards.
