Minister of Social Affairs: Monitoring stockpiles to ensure the continuous availability of food supplies at all times


The Dr. Amthal Al‑Huwayla, Minister of Social Affairs, Family and Childhood Affairs, conducted a field visit to several cooperative societies in the Hawalli Governorate and Capital Governorate Kuwait to review operations and ensure the availability of food supplies.

According to a statement from the Ministry of Social Affairs Kuwait, the visit came in line with the directives of Sheikh Ahmed Al‑Abdullah Al‑Ahmad Al‑Sabah, the Prime Minister of Kuwait, stressing the importance of monitoring cooperative societies and maintaining market stability while ensuring essential goods remain available for citizens and residents.

During the visit, accompanied by Assistant Undersecretary for Cooperative Affairs Dr. Sayed Issa, the minister reviewed the mechanisms used to display and supply basic food items and verified the stability of stock levels. She also inspected shelf organization, market cleanliness, and the promotion of national products.

Dr. Al-Huwayla met with officials and employees of the cooperative societies and emphasized the need to maintain readiness and closely monitor stock levels to guarantee the continuous availability of food supplies.

She also interacted with citizens during the visit, listened to their feedback, and addressed their concerns as part of the ministry’s commitment to direct field monitoring and understanding market conditions.

The minister confirmed that field inspections will continue across all six governorates to ensure market stability and the steady availability of essential commodities across Kuwait.
