First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al-Sabah affirmed on Monday that the situation in Kuwait is “reassuring” and that life across the country is proceeding normally despite ongoing regional developments.

Speaking to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) and Al-Akhbar TV during his visit to the Civil Defense Directorate’s operations room, Sheikh Fahad stressed that there will be zero tolerance for anyone filming or sharing footage of missile interceptions in the sky. He emphasized that protecting public safety and national security remains his top priority.

Sheikh Fahad urged the public to refrain from publishing or circulating any photos or videos that are not officially issued by the relevant authorities. He called on citizens and residents to rely solely on official state statements for accurate information, noting that any updates requiring public disclosure will be communicated through authorized government channels.

He warned that the Ministry of Interior will not tolerate violations and will take firm legal action against anyone who disseminates unauthorized content, regardless of their position or status. Adherence to official directives, he said, is essential to safeguarding the public interest and maintaining national stability.

The Minister also noted that an official statement had already been issued to counter rumors and irresponsible sharing of such footage. He revealed that multiple government agencies were convening in the decision-making room to ensure coordinated efforts in serving Kuwait and everyone residing on its land.

According to Sheikh Fahad, reports received by the operations room are addressed immediately and referred to the appropriate authorities. Civil Defense teams activate warning sirens when necessary to protect lives and property, ensuring that all precautionary measures are taken efficiently.

Reassuring the public, Sheikh Fahad reiterated that the current emergency situation will be overcome. He affirmed that all relevant authorities are performing their duties with full responsibility and strong coordination, working around the clock to preserve the country’s security and stability.
