The General Traffic Department has announced a temporary closure of Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan Road (Fifth Ring Road) in the direction of Salmiya.

The closure will be in effect from the intersection with King Faisal Road to the intersection with King Fahd Bin Abdulaziz Road, starting at midnight on Wednesday, December 24, 2025, and continuing until 5:00 AM on Thursday, December 25, 2025.

According to the department, the closure is part of routine road maintenance, which includes asphalt works and the installation of traffic signs and overhead directional panels. These measures aim to enhance road safety and improve traffic flow along this key traffic route.

Motorists are advised to use alternative routes and follow traffic instructions during the closure period.
