The The Scientific Center successfully concluded the “Kashta” exhibition under the slogan “We conclude it together… as it began with one spirit,” marking the end of 17 days of vibrant family, cultural, and entertainment activities that attracted more than 200,000 visitors.

The exhibition brought together several specialized institutions and companies, including National Farms, offering a comprehensive experience designed for all age groups. The event focused on supporting talented individuals, entrepreneurs, and innovators while reinforcing creativity and national identity within the community.

Platform for Talent and Innovation

Ya’rab Bourhama, Director of Cultural Events at “Kashta,” stated during the closing ceremony held Saturday evening that the exhibition aimed to serve as a nurturing space for creative minds. The event featured two main stages — one dedicated to the barista competition “Coffee War” and another for showcasing talents.

Approximately 70 emerging talents performed on stage for the first time across various disciplines. In total, over 140 talents participated, and more than 100 workshops were conducted throughout the exhibition. Organizers expressed hope that such initiatives will continue to empower creative energies and preserve cultural values.

Strong Support for Local Agriculture

Engineer Imad Yahya, Production Manager at National Farms Agricultural Contracting Company, explained that the company’s participation reflects its commitment to promoting national agricultural products and strengthening the local farming sector.

With nearly two years of experience in agricultural contracting, consultancy, farm supervision, maintenance, and landscaping projects, the company operates its own farms in Al Wafra. These farms produce fresh local crops marketed directly from farm to consumer.

The pavilion saw strong demand for fresh produce including corn, baby cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, mountain tomatoes grown from Lebanese seeds, strawberries cultivated in specialized agricultural reserves, as well as a wide range of vegetables and fruits. Seasonal baskets and occasion-themed packages were also available.

Yahya confirmed that all products showcased were 100% locally grown, including corn, beans, cowpeas, peppers, potatoes, and other produce supplied to the local vegetable market. He emphasized the company’s commitment to offering high-quality products at affordable prices to support food security and enhance reliance on domestic production.

Expanding Access to Local Products

National Farms also provides direct sales from its headquarters on Tunis Street and its Al Wafra farms. Additionally, customers can place orders online for home delivery of fresh agricultural products, supporting broader access to locally produced goods.

The significant turnout at the company’s pavilion highlights increasing consumer confidence in Kuwaiti agricultural products, especially when delivered fresh from farm to table.
