The Ministry of Public Works has announced the launch of extensive road maintenance works across several areas in the country, scheduled to take place from the 25th to the 30th of this month. The initiative is part of the ministry’s ongoing efforts to enhance infrastructure and improve the overall efficiency of Kuwait’s road network.
According to the ministry, the maintenance works will cover a number of key roads and major intersections. These include Al-Abdali Road, Al-Subiya Road, the intersection of the Fourth Ring Road with Al-Maghrib Road, and Al-Fahaheel Road (opposite Mishref–Salwa). Additional works will also be carried out on Al-Salmi Road heading towards Kuwait, as well as along the Seventh Ring Road between kilometer 24 and kilometer 27 in both directions.
The maintenance plan will extend across multiple governorates. In the Capital Governorate, works will take place in areas such as Al-Shamiya, Al-Qairawan, Al-Nuzha, Al-Rawda, and Al-Dasma. In Hawalli Governorate, the targeted areas include Al-Jabriya, Al-Salmiya, Mubarak Al-Abdullah, Al-Siddiq, Salwa, and Bayan.
In Farwaniya Governorate, maintenance will cover Al-Ardiya, Al-Omariya, Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh, Ishbiliya, Al-Firdous, and Khaitan. Meanwhile, in Ahmadi Governorate, works will be carried out in Al-Riqa, Al-Sabahiya, Al-Fahaheel, Al-Manqaf, Jaber Al-Ali, and Sabah Al-Ahmad.
The ministry also confirmed that works will include areas in Jahra Governorate, such as Saad Al-Abdullah and Al-Qasr, in addition to Mubarak Al-Kabeer Governorate, covering Al-Masayel, Abu Fatira, Al-Qurain, and Al-Adan.
The ministry emphasized that these maintenance activities aim to improve road quality and enhance traffic safety. Motorists are advised to follow traffic instructions and remain cautious around temporary diversions during the implementation period to ensure safety and smooth traffic flow
