Position Overview: Accountant (Dubai Head Office)

MAXCO Electromechanical LLC is currently hiring a full-time Accountant to join its Finance & Accounts Department in Dubai. Working closely with the Senior Accountant, the selected candidate will support financial control and record-keeping across the company’s Mechanical, Electrical, and AMC business lines.

Key Responsibilities

General Ledger & Financial Accounting: Record daily financial transactions, prepare journal entries, and ensure precise project and cost-center allocations.
Accounts Payable (AP): Verify supplier invoices against Purchase Orders (POs), Goods Received Notes (GRNs), and site sign-offs. Manage payment processing, vendor accounts, and AP aging reports.
Accounts Receivable (AR): Generate customer invoices aligned with project milestones and AMC schedules. Monitor receivables and assist with collection follow-ups.
Reconciliations & Petty Cash: Perform monthly bank reconciliations alongside customer and supplier account reconciliations. Maintain and record petty cash transactions.
Compliance & Audits: Compile invoices and documentation required for UAE VAT compliance. Maintain organized archives of vouchers, contracts, and financial records while supporting internal and external audits.
Fixed Assets & Reporting: Assist with fixed-asset record-keeping and escalate accounting discrepancies or delays to the Senior Accountant.

Eligibility Criteria & Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a closely related field.
Industry Experience: Relevant accounting experience, ideally gained within MEP, electromechanical, construction, contracting, or facilities management sectors.
Technical Skills: Practical mastery of Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), bank reconciliations, and ERP/accounting software.
UAE Tax Knowledge: Clear understanding of UAE VAT regulations, statutory documentation, and tax reporting standards.
Software Proficiency: Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (formulas, functions, and reporting).
Key Attributes: Strong numerical and analytical skills, high attention to detail, strict adherence to financial deadlines, and excellent English communication skills.
