Ministry of Interior Warns Against Rumors, Affirms Strict Action Amid Security Developments

Kuwait City, April 6, 2026: The Ministry of Interior has warned that strict action will be taken against individuals who spread rumors or publish unverified videos and images, stressing that such activities are being closely monitored and offenders will be referred to the relevant authorities for legal action.

In a statement issued on Sunday, the ministry urged the public to rely only on official sources for information and avoid circulating misleading content that could cause confusion or panic.

Brigadier General Nasser Bouslaib, Director General of the General Department of Public Relations and Security Media and official spokesperson of the Ministry, made the remarks during a media briefing addressing ongoing developments following the Iranian attacks on the State of Kuwait.

He emphasized that obtaining information from official media channels plays a vital role in enhancing public awareness and supporting national efforts.

Providing updates, Brigadier General Bouslaib revealed that warning sirens had been activated four times since dawn, bringing the total number of activations since the beginning of the escalation to 171.

He added that Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) teams had responded to nine reports involving falling debris resulting from defensive interception operations, raising the total number of such reports handled to 678 since the start of the situation.

During the briefing, a visual demonstration was presented showing how Special Forces handle reports related to falling debris or suspicious objects both within and outside affected areas.

The Ministry reaffirmed the readiness and vigilance of the Armed Forces, highlighting their continued efforts in safeguarding the nation’s security and sovereignty with high efficiency and professionalism.

It also praised the resilience and unity of citizens and residents, noting their strong trust in the capabilities of the Armed Forces and security agencies, which reflects the deep-rooted values of Kuwaiti society in facing challenges.

The Ministry confirmed that the situation is under continuous monitoring, with all sectors operating at full readiness around the clock under well-structured plans to ensure security, stability, and public safety.

Concluding its statement, the Ministry prayed for the continued protection of Kuwait, its leadership, its people, and all residents, wishing for lasting security, peace, and stability across the country.
