LuLu Group International is an Indian-Emirati multinational conglomerate headquartered in Abu Dhabi, with its India headquarters located in Kochi. Founded in 1989 by Indian entrepreneur M. A. History

The first supermarket under LuLu Group International opened in 1995 in Abu Dhabi, during a period when the region’s retail sector was rapidly evolving with the entry of global chains like Carrefour. Following the success of its initial stores, LuLu expanded quickly across the UAE, including major locations in Dubai.

In the late 1990s, the group launched LuLu Center department stores, further strengthening its retail presence. A major milestone came in 2000, when the first LuLu Hypermarket opened in Dubai, marking the start of an aggressive regional expansion.
