IFFCO began operations in the UAE in 1975, initially focusing on trading and distribution. During the 1980s and 1990s, the company expanded significantly into branded consumer products, strengthening its position in the regional FMCG market under the leadership of the Allana family.In 2006, IFFCO announced a US$275 million food production complex in Dubai Industrial City, aimed at manufacturing well-known brands such as Noor Cooking Oil, London Dairy, Al Baker, and Tiffany.

In 2010, the company further strengthened its supply chain by opening a 500,000 m² logistics hub in Dubai Industrial City to support exports across global markets.In 2022, IFFCO partnered with DP World to develop a 30,000 m² edible oil packing plant in the Berbera Economic Zone in Somaliland, expanding its production footprint in Africa.

In 2023, the company launched THRYVE, described as the Middle East’s first fully plant-based meat manufacturing facility, located in Dubai Industrial City.In 2024, Italy’s export credit agency SACE announced an Islamic financing facility with IFFCO to strengthen the Italian food and beverage supply chain under SACE’s Push Strategy.
