Kuwait Airways to Resume Flights to Egypt’s Sphinx Airport from May 10

Kuwait Airways has announced the resumption of its scheduled commercial flights from Kuwait International Airport Terminal 4 (T4) to Sphinx International Airport starting next Sunday, May 10, with three weekly flights.

The airline’s Acting CEO, Abdul Wahab Al-Shatti, said the move is part of the company’s strategy to improve operational flexibility and meet growing travel demand during the current season.

He explained that Kuwait Airways currently operates:
• Two daily flights to Cairo International Airport
• Two weekly flights to Sohag International Airport
• New flights to Sphinx International Airport starting May 10

Al-Shatti said the airline is continuing to organize its schedules through carefully planned operations aimed at maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and passenger service.

He added that expanding destinations from Terminal 4 reflects Kuwait Airways’ commitment to improving operational efficiency and enhancing the travel experience for passengers.

The airline also confirmed it is closely monitoring travel demand and may add extra flights or increase seat capacity on routes experiencing high booking volumes to provide more convenient travel options.

Last Friday, Kuwait Airways announced an expansion of its commercial operations under the second phase of the gradual resumption of flights at Kuwait International Airport, increasing services to 13 destinations and bringing the total number of destinations to 30.
