(Formerly Oasis Hospital) Kanad Hospital is a leading private, not-for-profit hospital for women and children located in Al Ain, United Arab Emirates. Established in 1960, it is the oldest hospital in Al Ain and the second oldest in the UAE.With 200 inpatient beds, including specialized neonatal and intermediate care units, Kanad Hospital remains one of the region’s most respected maternity and pediatric healthcare institutions.

Our History :Kanad Hospital was founded in November 1960 by American missionary doctors Dr. Pat Kennedy and Marian Kennedy at the invitation of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, then Governor of Al Ain.

At the time, infant and maternal mortality rates were extremely high in the region. The hospital played a transformative role in reducing these rates dramatically, becoming a cornerstone of modern healthcare in Abu Dhabi Emirate.

Key milestones:

1960 – Established in a donated mud guesthouse
1964 – First cement hospital building constructed
1985 – Expansion to include pediatrics, surgery, and obstetrics
2009 – AED 135 million expansion grant from Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan
2015 – New 200-bed facility opened with 28 NICU beds and 7 Intermediate Care Unit beds
2010 – Celebrated Golden Jubilee (50 years)

Over the decades, Kanad Hospital has delivered more than 100,000 babies and significantly reduced infant and maternal mortality in Al Ain to below 1%.

The hospital is honored to be the birthplace of many UAE leaders, including Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Description

Essential Job Functions and Key Accountabilities:

Videography and Editing:

Capture high-quality footage of hospital activities, including events, patient stories, staff interviews, and outreach programs.
Edit videos for multiple formats (social media, website, internal use) with strong pacing, storytelling, and attention to emotional tone.
Deliver same-day or next-day highlight reels for key hospital or community events.
Ensure all content adheres to privacy, consent, and cultural sensitivity standards.

Graphic Design:

Design engaging visuals for marketing campaigns, social media, and digital screens.
Ensure brand consistency across all visual and multimedia materials.
Support other marketing design needs as assigned.

Content Planning & Collaboration:

Collaborate with the Marketing team to conceptualize storyboards and scripts aligned with hospital branding.
Assist in developing campaign visuals and motion graphics that support awareness and education goals.
Work cross-functionally with clinical and administrative teams to capture accurate, inspiring stories.

Travel & On-Call Coverage:

Be available for short-notice assignments such as executive meetings, conferences, or community events.
Travel domestically or internationally with hospital executives as needed for filming.

Equipment & File Management:

Maintain and organize video equipment, lighting, and sound gear.
Manage footage archives, ensuring all files are labeled, backed up, and compliant with hospital data protection policies.

Qualification

Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Film, Videography, Media Production, Marketing, or a related field

Experience

2–3 years of professional experience in videography and editing, with at least 2 year of hands-on production experience and a minimum of 2 years in design-related tasks. Experience in healthcare or nonprofit settings is a plus.
