21,000 Participate in Kuwait Sports Day on Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Bridge

Around 21,000 people took part in the third edition of Kuwait Sports Day, held on Saturday at the Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Bridge. The large-scale community event was organized by the Kuwait Sports for All Federation and witnessed strong public participation from across the country.

The event was officially launched by the Minister of State for Youth and Sports Affairs, Tariq Al-Jalahma, who joined participants in an atmosphere filled with enthusiasm and community spirit. People of all age groups attended, reflecting the growing awareness of the importance of sports and physical activity in daily life.

Organized in cooperation with various governmental and private entities, the event featured a wide range of activities including running, walking, and cycling races, fitness sessions, recreational competitions for families and children, as well as musical and performance shows that added a festive touch to the day.

The initiative welcomed citizens, residents, families, youth, children, and people with disabilities, along with representatives from government bodies, private institutions, sports clubs, federations, and volunteer teams. The broad participation highlighted the inclusive nature of the event and its aim to engage all segments of society.

The day concluded with the distribution of commemorative medals to participants in the various races. The event received widespread praise for its excellent organization and the positive sporting spirit that characterized Kuwait Sports Day.

The initiative is supported by the political leadership as part of the General Sports Authority’s 2022–2028 strategy, which aims to promote the concept of “sports for all,” encourage physical activity as a lifestyle, and enhance community participation to improve public health and overall quality of life.
