Qatar 10 year residency visa:Qatar Announces 10-Year Residency Visa to Attract Entrepreneurs and Top Executives

Doha: Qatar will introduce a new long-term residency programme granting 10-year permits to entrepreneurs and senior executives, Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani announced on Sunday.

The initiative is designed to attract skilled professionals, business leaders, and investors, further strengthening Qatar’s position as a regional hub for innovation and investment.

The move follows similar long-term residency schemes introduced by neighboring Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, which have launched programs in recent years to draw global talent and foreign investment.

In addition, the Qatar Investment Authority (QIA) will expand its venture capital activities by $2 billion to support startups and growing businesses.

Officials said the “Fund of Funds” programme, currently valued at $1 billion, was established to attract international venture capital firms, foster entrepreneurship, and help diversify the country’s economy beyond gas revenues.

The new residency and investment measures are expected to create more opportunities for startups, innovators, and business professionals seeking to establish a long-term presence in Qatar.
