The Kuwait Ministry of Interior, through the General Directorate of the Police Aviation Wing, announced on Sunday the dispatch of the first Kuwaiti female officer to pursue aviation sciences in the Greece.
The initiative comes as part of the continued support of the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahd Yousef Saud Al-Sabah, aimed at developing and modernizing military and security personnel.
In a press statement, the Director General of the Police Aviation Wing, Brigadier General Pilot Salem Al-Shehab, said this move marks a historic first across Kuwait’s military institutions. He explained that First Lieutenant Dana Al-Shaleen has been awarded a scholarship to undergo advanced academic and practical training in police aviation, qualifying her to serve as a pilot officer upon completion.
Brigadier Al-Shehab noted that the scholarship reflects the state’s vision to empower women, strengthen their role across security sectors, and keep pace with modern advancements in military and security fields.
